This distance allows for natural disasters to hopefully not affect each of the sites simultaneously.

A disaster recovery plan should be put into place at your organization to ensure a guide is readily available in case the unthinkable happens. It would be a step-by-step guide on how and where to restore your data. It should have team members’ names and contact information for each segment of your data. They should be aware and practice the plan as often as possible.
